Trivia note: Peter wore his belt buckle on the side so it wouldn't scratch his guitar as he was playing it! And according to another Monkees fan who got the word from Peter himself, Peter actually started wearing his belt buckle on the side in high school. It meant you were cool or tough. He did that and it kinda stuck to his liking.
Also, we all know that Peter wears different colored socks. This fan said that Peter mentioned(somewhere)that it represented that there are two
different sides to everything and he did it to remind himself of that...
